On my website, there are 2 scans made of every chip. I scan at 150 dpi which produces a scan of each chip 240 X 240 pixels. After saving this scan, and while still on the scan bed, I reduce the size by 75%. This smaller scan I also save. The scans you see on my webpage are the smaller ones. When you click on the first chip of the group, the larger scans show up.
I usually scan about 16 or so at once. Of course I wind up scanning 2 or 3 times before every chip is aligned just right. I crop while still on the scanbed.
I would never finish if I only scanned one chip at a time.
BTW, the scans below are the 240 X 240s reduced by 50% (120 X 120 pixels each).
