I didn't have any problems with buying/cashing chips at the Excalibur when we took the kids there. But don't EVEN let them off the main walkways. One time my oldest child had to tie his shoe, and he sat in a sports book chair, right on the aisle...security was on us in a heartbeat, letting us know that children were not allowed in the gaming area.
