"…the only reason for doing it is because Barris and I go back a long way together in the Kustom trade, its not to F*** anyone or devalue anyones collection."
Warwick, I cannot comprehend how you could not realize that issuing a set for $20 is the very definition of f***ing all of us who shelled out $100 or more for it. I would have thought that you couldn’t think of anything more blatant that the move with the Sammy’s, but I gotta tell you, there’s not much subtlety going on here. At least the Sammy’s were a planned screwing, this one seems absolutely arbitrary and utterly without conscience. It seems that your method of solving "problems caused by some members of the collector community" is to just cause another one… kind of like stepping on one’s toe to make them forget about their headache.
I think that the credibility of the program goes down the pipes with this move as well. Anyone who pays a premium for a Sheryl Crow chip or buys a Roth set for 500 bucks should have their head examined… there could be a decision made tomorrow to produce more for sale at face value. I would not be surprised if this hair-brained scheme has a noticeable impact on the Hard Rock chip market, because fundamentally it is a violation of trust.
