Warwick:
If you have not realized it yet, the LE's walk from the cage because people like myself and other collectors on this board buy them as collectibles. Regardless of the minimal income generated per issue, throughout the year the chip program must contribute to the bottom line when they disappear from the cage/tables. It is one thing after another at the Hard Rock regarding chips. The 100 $25 Cinco chip release in 2000 was a joke and the $25 Sammy Hagar chip is another sore subject.
Why re-release an identical chip that was issued in 1997? If you cannot find time to change the chips completely or at least change the color, why not resubmit the same chip to The Gaming Control Board with a very minor change, such as an issue number. If the chip was approved the first time, what difference is it going to make if an LE number is added? It seems like the Hard Rock goes out of its way to create problems with the same people that support their program.
Hire someone knowledge in marketing and consumer affairs if you want to continue to issue LE's. If the LE's were not profitable, then the HR would not continue to issue them. When you re-issue identical, previously released "Limited Edition" chips from 1997, they are no longer "Limited Editions." What are you thinking?
