Thanks Kyle. Wisconsin, the hotbed of casino gossip. I still don't know what's going on in Kenosha. I thought they had won approval for a casino, golf course and convention center at the dog track.
The one at Hudson, on the border near Minneapolis got refused, but later it turned out some of the other tribes made campaign donations (aka paid bribes) to get the plan nixed. One way to hold down competition.
Seems like the tribes aren't being that welcome anymore, while the places they have opened are happy to have the business.
What we don't see that much about are the sattelite locations, like gas stations and shops on the reservation land, where they have slot machines and pull tabs
Ho Chunk runs one of the big three casinos in Wisconsin and they control the Western part of the state. (mostly South West) Oneida has the big one near Green Bay and is the largest in the North East. Potawotami in Milwaukee has become the largest in the South Eastern area of Wisconsin.
And then you have the sprinkling of small casinos across the central and Northern half of the state.
