I have 4 albums that I keep "certain chips" so I can see them and show them off
Two albums contain brass cores and bi metals - and two contain my higher end chips.

I keep all my obsolete Harrah's Reno - Tahoe in airtights in boxes (with cards) - for quick but secure (as far as dropping or scratching them) viewing.

The rest (my ivories and crest & seals) are in airtites, but "coin boxes".

Everything else is stacked wherever it fits... with minimal attention given to "likelihood of tripping".

Storage is discussed a few times a year of this board... good luck with YOUR collection and if you come across any great ideas... most of us need storage solutions!!
