and I admit that freely. I feel like I am at a Snipers anomymous meeting. It seems like a lot of people hate people like me. I do not own any sniper programs but do take the time to watch auctions closely. When I find something I really want, I sit at the computer with a watch and wait till the last few seconds before I bid and when I do, I bid my maximum. Thats just the way I do it, and I normally win what I want. It doesn't always work, but then I have no complaints as the person who beat me out decided to pay more than me. Thats how auctions work. Why bid early and have someone else place their high bid at $50 only to find out that they are still not the high bidder. Chances are, that person will go back and bid a second time to try to outbid you. If you wait seconds before the auction end, those who cant make up their mind how high they will go have no chance to do that. I guess it comes from playing so much poker. if you have a really strong hand, you dont want to reveal it on the $20 flop, you wait till the turn and make it $80. Of course slow playing ones hand can also backfire... but thats another story altogther.
Bottom line, I win because I bid more than another person, not because when I bid. At least thats how I feel.
