In the UK about 2 years ago, my local casino ran a version of blackjack where you could bet whether your first 2 cards were over or under 13 for an even money bet (house takes all when cards = 13).

It only lasted about 6 months so I assume it wasn't profitable for them, although quite a few people used to play this side bet. Has it ever been seen in Vegas I wonder? Jason.
