I agree that saying "the Convention starts on Thursday" certainly isn't true for many of us. And I also know there are already a lot of functions that go on earlier in the week. Not only Greg's HRC dinner but many chips changing hands in different suites. And as we go along I think there will be more events added.
I don't think that getting the meeting rooms would be an additional cost to the Club because we have them from Wednesday now. Shouldn't be a problem to get them an extra day although Jim Steffner would be the final authority on that. The toughest part is getting the volunteers.
Since Jim Steffner is Chairman and the one who is going to be responsible I think the extra day would be something he would need to address. Maybe Jim will see these posts and give us his thoughts.
I certainly think it is an idea worth pursuing.
