Maybe the club wants to become a secret orginization? First the whole issue about club members using the logo, when almost every other club I know ENCOURAGES people to spread the word, use the logo and introduce it to new members.

The chip is clear. The club should endorse future events, with use of the logo approved, as this was. If the event doesn't meet the standards, the club should not endorse. Sell club sanctions for $10... Whatever, but lets keep our name out there, not in a closet.
