A cool person here asked me to find some of the current rack chips at the Gold Coast - the cowboy on the horse. SHe offered a very nice trade, so the wife and I go to the Coast tonight to gamble.
We blow through $150 to $200 at a $3 blackjack table, figuring I'll take the best rack chip I find, and then as I cash out look for uncirculated at the cage. the funny thing is that at the Gold Coast right now, the "rack" chip is a rarity. You see how rare it is when you look at a dealer's rack. The "rack" are white inlays. The various "rodeo hall of fame" are yellow inlays with a bunch of faces on them. When they brought my dealer $400 in new $5 chips, about 8 of them were "rack" chips. The rest were Limited edition cowboy things with yellow inserts.
At the cage, they literally used the wor d"Obsolete" when referring to the current rack chip-- but they found me a few to look through.
Hey, no big deal. Just an observation, not sure what it means.
