Hi Mike, This isn't Bill it is Janice, but here is what I can tell you. Bill is out of town and will not be back for awhile and as you know he is not one to say anything on any of these boards anyway.
If you remember before the 2001 convention there was a big discussion over the use of the club logo on casino chips and Silverstrike tokens.
Bill gave permission for the club to use that logo on CLUB RELATED business and was not to happy when he found out it was going to be used in another manner. There were discussions between him and Nate (CCGTCC president) and between him and Eric Rosenbloom (club council).
There were plans for more future discussions, but as far as I know these never took place. I do not remember what was decided at the time exactly, but I do know Bill granted THE CLUB continued use of the logo for club related business. In writing or verbal, I don't know.
I do know he still feels, as several of us do, that it should not be used by any private individual for any private business related events. Janice O'Neal
