Also I would suspect that PayPal doesn't have the same interest in intervening in transactions. Their service is just to take your credit card information and pay the sellers account. To them you are just one of many customers who occasionally use their service. Your credit card issuer, on the other hand, has more interest in your security and happiness with the transaction since you have a more ongoing relationship with them by using your card card for everything from gasoline to dry cleaning to groceries... Also, if your card is issued by your bank they have interest in your checking, savings, money market, cds... and other accounts. Start with the issuer of Your Card. They should be more help than PayPal. That is my expectation.
