In Response To: DEFINITION PROBLEM ()

Trump Plaza issued a $5 CHIPCO LE commemorating the Atlantic City Surf just a few weeks ago... a professional minor league baseball team in town. Something like 1500 chips were produced. Roughly 700-800 chips were remaining in inventory before the casino switched over from CHIPCO to Paulson for their regular rack chip. Roughly 700 to 800 of this recently issued chip were sent out for destruction ... as ALL CHIPCO L.E. chips were previously. I say this chip is now obsolete. Others say as long as it is still redeemable, it is not obsolete. If that is the case, then there is no such thing as an obsolete chip in Atlantic City? I think not. Don't confuse Las Vegas rules with Atlantic City rules.

Example; In A.C. an even money bet on roulette only half the bet is lost should 0/00 come up. In Las Vegas, they take the whole bet. Where would YOU rather play roulette?? IN Las Vegas one can purchase chips at the casino cage... In A.C. one can ONLY purchase chips from an open gaming table.

I like the idea of ALL A.C. chips being redeemable ... but I also think that many, many chips in Atlantic City... for all practical purposes... yet, I recognize that there are those who disagree... and that's o.k. too.
