Got this cool old PC today. If I can't acquire the chips I like, at least I can come up with picture of the buildings where they were in play! Initially interested in the Hotel Golden and the Bank Club, I noticed the Barn Club. Dwayne Kling, in his excellent Reno book tells us the Barn Club was gaming '41-'44 on the previous location of the legendary Northern Club. Sold to Wilber Clark who opened The Bonanza at this address. Interesting entries re: Barn chips in TCR and C/W. Really enjoy stumbling onto this kind of stuff, had never heard of the Barn Club and thought I'd pass it along and the Wilber Clark thing is a bonus name too!
Being a car nut forever, I scoped out the rides out front too. The two light colored autos appear to be newer upscale General Motor cars (Buicks?), a nice item to have during the war. But the real high-roller ride is the baby in the near left corner. Very advanced styling like something Packard would have or I wonder if Pierce-Arrow was still building cars at this time. A real luxo set of wheels for a genuine "swell"!
