I assume you mean "Arodie"? This is the name of the "mold" around the outer part of the chip. It is an abbreviation for "Arrows & Dice". According to the Campiglia and Wells Official Casino Chip Price Guide, "The best mold, by far, is the Arodie." Thus--these chips are highly collectible.
