Never one to slow down the promotion of the Club or the hobby, I applaud your putting on shows and donating table space to the Club or chapters.
My concern is for the potential liability that such "sanctioning" of these shows opens the Club up to. If we were to "authorize" dates and shows, "no matter who the promoter is" ANY problems arising from such shows comes back to the Club. What control does the Club have over what is sold at these shows, who the dealers are and tax issues that may arise? There are many potential issues I think the BOD needs to consider before "sanctioning" privately promoted shows.
As a non-profit Educational organization, I not sure we want to be in the "sanctioning and authorizing business of show promotion." Just my opinion. And I do wish you great success with your show in September!
