In the 1996 Issue 8 (page 11) of Chip Chat, An eminent Californian expounded on the three E's of
the Chipping Hobby:
Entertainment, Education, Enlightment, the justification for doing something right, something fun, and something historical.
I believed it then, and still do now.
Perhaps one of the finest commentaries to date, the 'Mel Brooks' of Chips has outdone himself with the offering of the Hank Boss Auction collection. Postcards, commentary, illustrations, facts. The T.R. King auction description book in years to come will be to serious chippers what the Gutenburg Bible is now to organized religion....WORTH magnitudes of information (and $, or just read that priceless). If you didn't 'Chip Chat' in '96, here is your chance to put a ground floor publication into your collection for the first of the 21st Century.
Needless to say I am impressed, and anyone reading this who consider themselves a 'chipper' should be too; must be those three E's. Happy Trails, DocF
