Re: Arodie Identity Question
In Response To: Arodie Identity Question ()

Its BB. The B's are back to back.
I am at work but if its the same chip I am thinking of, I spent two years in the middle 90's trying to attribute them.
I have the whole set. I think up to $500. They were found at a flea market in the Dallas area.
I traded a couple sets in the $400 range at the time. Arodie collectors go nuts over a new chip. grin
I think a lot more have been found.
I tried hard to attach Benny Binion's name to them. Jack Binion said he had never seen them and Benny would never have put his initials on a Texas illegal chip. Amarillo Slim had never seen the chip either.
I tried every which way I could to tie the Southland Hotel to them. I have several Mason chip records from the Southland and countless newspaper articles, thanks to Doc F but have yet to come up with a name that has BB for initials except Benny. grin
Unless something new turns up it looks like the Dallas Mafia will not be tied to this chip. grin
