Caesars Indiana has just ended a promotion awarding bobble head dolls (of Cleopatra, Caesar, etc.) to preferred slot players. They might be the coolest casino collectible I've ever seen (other than chips). I'm sorry I don't have a picture to post. (Maybe they can still be seen at www.caesarsindiana.com.)
I hope someone who is familiar with bobble heads will post. I gather there is one "legit" company producing originals and then many other knockoffs (such as the cheapies in cereal boxes). I think these are the real thing. Very high quality, very heavy, "Made in China for Caesars Indiana," about six inches in heighth, and so cute it's scary.
I spend my life trying not to collect anything "casino" other than chips. But I also allow myself one favorite keepsake (other than chips) from favorite casinos. With Caesars Indiana, it's these bobble heads, hands down. They'll put a smile on your face, and I don't normally collect dolls. Anybody says I do, there's gonna be trouble...
I have an extra Caesar and Cleopatra available. E-mail with offer if interested. I couldn't find out how many they made or if they will be re-released in the future. If you ask a question like that in Indiana, they look at you like you are on crack. The current promotion ended June 30. I know they guarded them closely. It was easier to get a free room for the weekend than a bobble head doll. Crazy.
Post if interested or if you have info.
Thanks,
Cinch
