The ALCAZAR was a Shivel/Green operation. California is a good guess. One can only wonder what happened to poor Jack Shivel.
On the last row I've been told that the "GCC" is the Geneva Country Club. I don't know how much stock you can put into that.
You said: My meager collection fades into insignificance when compared to those of Rich Hanover, Robert Eisenstadt, and Allan Myers (who does not brag about his).
I only started collecting c&s after reading Allan's article in Chequers Magazine (online) "What is a Crest & Seal" in October 1999. Btw, in the article Allan writes "For bragging rights, I am showing 150 chips from my collection as examples of Crest & Seal chips."
Lastly, my collection pales when compared with the Kings of the C&S: Steve Passalacqua, Allan Myers, Robert Eisenstadt and Kenny Craig. I'm pretty sure I could include Dale Seymour in that group.
Quantity (my collection) does not translate into quality.
