I think you are partially correct about the insider thing . . . Warwick has denied that he resells HR chips and in this release it was reported that all 100 were sold at the table none were held back or presold to employees as apparently has been done in the past in AC.

But while we as collectors might be savy enough to understand that certain chips will not appreciate duer to the release figures, the strategy is not aimed at us. It is aimed at speculators the same people who were dumb enough to speculate on beanie babies are also capable of speculating on casino chips.

I'm willing to bet that the number of people who show up at a HR chip release who have no interest in the chips other than to just turn around and sell them increases with every chip release. I'm not talking about collectors who also sell (I'm talking about people who heard they could make a quick buck buying a chip and selling it on Ebay).
