Warehouse.
"Have you ever seen any chips from there?"
Sure I seen them, I've played with them.
Do I have any? NO!
One of the operators lives here and is a friend. He does not have any either.
I have also shot craps at the Yorkshire when Sammy had it open in the late 60's early 70's. I have not seen the chips since then.
Sammy Wrights Club on Monmouth was the Plaza ( I remembered ) and they had chips. No I don't have any but I played with them. My brother in law was a BJ dealer there. That must have been 72.
Sammy was an enforcer pre 1960 and was not a very nice man, when he was enforcing. He was a little guy, and his favorite story was how he would hide behind a bush and when his target showed up, he would "Crack him across the kneecaps with a baseball bat. "
Screw had chips at the Sportsman just before he died. I am guessing 1965. I was there the night Corky Freckman sprayed the front of the joint with an Uzi like machine gun. He thought he got cheated. Everyone was cheated there. Screw had a "Crap Joint" in the table.
Cigar Store was a cash game.
Clyde Demmings game was a block from the court house. He had chips. It was a pretty nice place on the 2nd floor. Clyde moved to LV and became a mover & shaker in the sports betting business. He set up shop in sport books like Caesars, Stardust, Frontier, and booked all bets the books would not take. He also ran credit as the books did not have credit accounts in those days. Clyde died a few years ago.
I don't even have one of the chips we lost at the Mustang. They would have been Hourglass mold with BGH, not even sure of the order of the initials.
AS I said the only IDed chips from the 62-75 era, that I know of, are the Sandwich Shop chips.
BTW, I am still looking for a BHV hourglass chip if you ever run across one.
