The years I am describing above were 5 to 10 years after the gambling was supposedly closed.
But
Sammy Wright had craps & BJ in the Yorkshire.
Sammy also had BJ in his bar on Monmouth St. Forgot the name but it was where the Stardust used to be.
Screw Andrews had craps & BJ in the Sportsman.
The Cigar Store had craps.
Johhny & Sonny had BJ at The Warehouse.
The Sandwich Shop had craps. The SS chips are the only ones I have from this era.
There was a crap game 1 block from the Newport court house.
Covington had 3 BJ operations on Pike St.
Dayton & Belleview both had BJ games.
SGT Jerry Early was the bag man. He used his foot on the doors when his bag was empty.
If you asked him if he had a warrent, he would lift his foot and point to the sole of his shoe and say "Right There".
No one was ever arrested. The game broke up for that night and was back up the next night.
