Yes, the Flamingo Capri was right next door to the Flamingo, but there was no affiliation between the two. The owner of the Capri received permission for the use of the Flamingo name and bird. The Capri went through a number of changes over the years. In the late 70's, the Capri (affiliated with the Best Western chain at that time) built the first tower that eventually became part of the Imperial Palace.
