Sunday is corrcet. The double-ended eraser pencil is used to "pluck" a card from the shoe. The shoe is located in the center of a round (or octagonal) table and must be on a lazy-susan (rotating base).
In-turn, each player will "pluck" a card, i.e., slide it out of the shoe until it is close enough to be grabbed and turned up. If the cad fits into the players hand, it is used and a discard is thrown face-up.
The thing I dislike about Pan is that play rotates counter-clockwise, very unlike most cards games.
