If you are staying at a hotel that has a car rental desk on site, rent one for a day. If not, shuttle to and from the airport from your hotel and rent one there for a day. Even with the approximately 25% in local taxes and fees added to the rental car charges, they are still cheap at the airport.

If you want to style around town for a couple hours in a Lamborghini Diablo, you can get them by the hour, for more than a daily rental would cost you.
