I would agree that it is fine and appropriate for someone to express their offense or sensitivity to the chips and perhaps it is also appropriate if someone wants to be sensitive to those feelings and not post pictures out of respect for those feelings. Those are all voluntary actions and are fine. I just got concerned in my previous post that some were taking peoples interest in these chips as some expression of insensitivity... I do not believe anyone specifically fealt that they were "Hateful" or "Anti-Semetic but I do recall the references to ignorance, insensitivity... I just believe that a persons interest in the chips should not reflect on their compassion, sensitivity, understanding or whatever... I didn't take any specific offence to anything that was said. I did sense though that it was getting a little personal. That was after the first few posts. I did notice reading further that alot of that did settle on it's own. Even before my post. Also, I do have the simple disagreement with the banning of chips or boycotting of those who are selling or trading them. That is simply due to the dual or multiple meaning that these chips have. Like I posted in my previous post I think it is unfair to take a symbol and ONLY associate with it a meaning that one group applied to it when they procured it for their use, while ignoring it's original or other meanings. I know from my experiences on this board in the past that most if not all the people I have had exchanges with are not mean, uncaring or unfriendly. In fact I have seen some wonderful outpourings of friendship, even between those who have so strongly dissagreed in the past.
