I used to work for the Milwaukee Road at their main repair shops in Milwaukee years ago. I worked in the Mechanical Dept and actually was the person in charge of maintaining the Locomotive Diagram book which listed all of the specifications for every locomotive. I sold my only copy of the steam engine diagram book at a yard sale a few years ago at far less than what you could get for it at a railroad show. The bulk of my job was making drawings for various changes being made to all of the equipment. I still have one of the decals shown on the tender in your picture. Probably the only one still in existance.
