Hi Victor,
I just got through booking tickets online, for LAS VEGAS!
My husband reads the Chicago paper, and checks out the travel section for ads from airlines. Last night there was an ad from ATA, book online by July 8, travel by September 15 and it would be $80 each way (some restrictions apply).
We went to the ATA site and checked the times and flights available, we booked the tickets, and got the seat assignments. No muss, no fuss! In this case, paper tickets weren't offered. That's no big deal....you just print out the itinerary, with the confirmation number, present that with your I.D. at the check-in counter, and get your boarding pass.
I know people who have used Orbitz, Travelocity, and cheaptickets (I think that's the name), but we've always ended up booking right through the airline.
Be sure to look around the site a little...sometimes there's a button to click for special internet fares. You can also call the airlines and ask if they have any special internet fares, or know of any coming up in the near future. Check the sites about every 3-5 days, as the fares do change...book the tickets when you find a fare you like.
Good luck! (And have fun in Vegas!)
