Sometimes it is simply necessary to accept the way things are and make the best of them.
Sandy & I felt that given the structure of education in the country -- over which we had no practical control -- our children would be better off in public school. And that they would also benefit from our active involvement in their school activities.
BTW, #1 son graduated from the University of California and the University of San Francisco School of Law.
#2 son graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.
Only daughter graduated from New York University and just received her masters from Dominican University in San Rafael.
#3 son ... well, he still hasn't figured out what he wants to do.
As a family, we believe very strongly in the value of education.
