In most cases, deleted files are moved to the "Recycle Bin" or "trash can". Usually located on the computer's desktop will be the Recycle Bin. Have her double-click that icon and review the files listed.

In some cases, deleted files may not make it to the "Recycle Bin". There are some commercial programs that a person can purchase that will assist you in recovering deleted files. I do not know of a particular one to recommend. Might try searching the web to see what's out there. Usually those programs work best when not a lot of disk activity has taken place after a file was deleted. Otherwise, the computer may re-use that space which was freed by the file being deleted.

Hopefully, it's there in the Recycle Bin.
