it is the requirement that Public School children take a pledge to God that the Court found violated the 1st Amendment. The concern goes beyond "a diety" since there are some who do not believe in any God much less the God of Jehova and the Christian God. I think the case will be taken on cert. to the Supreme Court and that the Court will review it. [I agree with Archie, except that all such tender should be sent to me. ) However, there is a substantial difference between passing money with a reference to God and requiring people to pledge allegiance to a Diety, whatever Diety it may be. As for the Court cry, that recitation is also suspect even tho the attorneys and the Justices do not swear allegiance to it.
