I haven't seen the decision ...

... either, Pete, but the news reports here say exactly what you suggested -- it is the recitation of the words "under god" in a public school that the court apparently found constitutionally objectionable.

The report I read also said that the decision will not be final for several months, to allow for motions and appeals.

I think Brian is correct -- if the decision stands up, the pledge could still be recited in public schools by omitting the phrase "under god".
