There are 12 chips that were never cancelled. I bought them all from this old guy from OK. He was playing craps at the Belle one night and left the table with $300 in green. The line was to long at the cage and he forgot to cash them the next day. The next time he was in Tunica, Southern Belle was closed. They sat in his drawer for several years. He was in Sam's Town one day and heard somebody talking chips with me. He asked if I wanted to buy some "worthless" Southern Belle chips. He brought them in a few weeks later and the rest is history.
After talking to Greg, I found out these were not the normal play $25 chip. I spoke to some former Southern Belle employees, I discovered they had a boxman that was stealing chips off the game. He had a girlfriend that was a cocktail waitress and she was cashing the chips for him. It was the green he was stealing (not an uncommon tip back then for cocktails) since he knew they tracked the black and purple. I'm told they put these chips on the game to set him and his girlfriend up. After the sting, the chips were pulled off the game and they went back to the cage.
