Seems to me just as in the last election we apparently had people behind the scenes attempting to influence the outcome, in the upcoming election there is even more of an incentive for some. The veteran chip dealers who did the same thing Mel did but whose identity is only known to a few "insiders" have a strong incentive to try to elect people who will not pursue the matter vigorously. This will be harder to detect since I'm sure all candidates would promise to pursue the brass core matter but there might be an "understanding" that once elected they would drop their interest in it.
