Re: Slabfree & "The List" Please Read Again

There are a couple of other fallacies in your accounting.

While 400 people may have signed the list and I forget the number of people who joined the SlabFree chapter (not all the same).

1) You can not assume that every member who did not sign the list or join the Chapter is Pro-Slabbing. (Like wise not all people who signed the list or joined the chapter necessarily agree the policy Gene is proposing)

2) You can not assume that results of the presidential election reflect the voters position on Slabbing. Nate did not run on a pro-slabbing platform. The results of the election may equally reflect that the majority of the voters felt that some other issue was more important in REGARD to how they voted for president. That may be a policy issue or an experience issue or a personal issue.

Having spoken to a great many people (many who are not represented on the ChipBoard) regarding the Slabbing issue at two conventions, one Show at Chicago and one show at Tunica I can tell you that the vast majority of people have expressed that they are against Slabbing. At this last convention one of the security guards even came up to me at the table and told me that he agreed with us that Slabbing was bad for the hobby (Turns out that although he doesn't collect chips he is a coin DEALER)
