A visit to Tunica should be considered as a visit to Memphis, TN as that is the nearest city and the most likely place to stay. That includes some of the best barbecue around. You can visit Elvis' home at Graceland and visit Beale St.etc.

Tunica is about 30 miles south of Memphis and as John said a car is almost a requirement. They have shuttle busses from Memphis and between the casinos but a car makes it much easier to do.

I am just back from a convention in Memphis and got to spend about 3 hrs in Tunica and visit 4 casinos to pick up a few slot cards and EZPay vouchers for my collection. Also got to say hello to Todd at the Horeshoe. Got to eat barbecue two days out of 3 so I had a good trip.
