Several cruises ago one of the stops was Cartagena, Columbia. Pam and I decided to venture out to a shopping area that required a cab ride. Along the way one of our riders made a remark about what gifts to buy in Columbia and of course the subject of coffee came up. At one point one of the riders jokingly said something about keeping an eye out for Juan Valdez at which point the cab driver piped up, "Si, Juan Valdez! Coffee man"

Turns out the people of Columbia are very familiar with the Juan Valdez marketing plan!

And BTW-I did manage to get chips from a small casino in Cartagena, Caribe something or other.
