Mark, I’ve been collecting Matchbooks for about a year now.
I know of 1 book out there for casino matchbooks (I don’t think it’s a price guide).
I agree with you if it doesn’t have the matches in it, IT”S NOT A BOOK OF MATCHES!
I think that casino matchbook collectors tend to go for full books where as matchbook collector tends to go for books without the matches. My understanding the matches tend to damage the actual books over time. (I have 40 - 50 year old books that show no damage.)
If you are a smart man you will sell all of your matchbooks and go to another collectable . Everyday I find another variation of a matchbook and then have to add it to my collection. I’m up to 20 different Sands matchbooks (and now 3 different features).
I store may books in a Plano 3700 tackle box. It has 24 slots that hold most matchbooks well. I can go 8 deep per slot as well.
By the way, nice collection of matchbooks, I really love the old Dunes matchbook.
Next up....the Casino Matchbook collectors Chapter!
