England beats Brazil
Germany over the USA
Korea upsets Spain
Senegal whumps Turkey (in soccer, 2-1 is a "whumping")

Then, in the semi-finals:

England ends the Senegalese dream
Germany does the same to Korea's

And, in the games that count:

England beats Germany to win the World Cup
Senegal edges Korea for third place

So, final standings:

1st -- England
2nd -- Germany
3rd -- Senegal
4th -- Korea
