What’s the deal with matches? Suddenly I noticed that I’ve got two coin tubs (which I don’t collect either) full of matchbooks. Places I’ve been, clubs I collect, and , oh yes, purty ones too. Great the way knowledge percolates here on the board, I learned that front strike books succumbed to The Mommy State in ’72 for instance. Other than that, I know zip about these things. Gather that there may be two schools of thought on the actual matches, full books or otherwise. I perfer the full ones I’ve ended up with, the stripped and filleted covers just seem lame and just ripping out the matches only seems …wrong! What’ya think? Guess I’ll have to start counting the things which means making a list next and how do you store these guys anyway? Nothing here for trade but if you show up at the NW chipper get togethers I might have some looking for a new home. Not the Hotel Golden book though!
