There were 9 or 10 casinos with $1 chips when I was there last year. Four Aces was not using the $1 chips on the tables but sold me some at the cage. The Franklin Hotel has 3 variations of the $1 chips in use. The difference is the color of the shamrock and which way the stem points. The Gold Dust was the only casino that issued $5 LEs (as of then), Sturgis Rally for 3 years.
Be sure to check out bars & restaurants if you travel thru North Dakota. Many of them have blackjack tables. All are associated with charities. Small stakes, maximum $5 bets so there are fractionals, $1 & $5 chips.
