Mark... I was not sure that your chipboard.com post under "Mark" was the same Mark as on the A.C. message board some time ago .... nor should anyone have to go to the A.C. message board to find that out as a way of confirmation.
But to answer your specific question .... now that I know who you are.... Competitive and Non-competitive displays of slabbed chips in the Exhibition area were expressly prohibited in the exhibitors rules.
However; dealers with tables (like Henry Garrett) are permitted to offer slabbed chips for sale at their retail booths.... as per Club Officer Board rules. In fact, Henry did have some slabs for sale at his table. As far as I know, Henry was the only dealer out of 100 dealer tables offering slabbed chips for sale. I have no idea if he sold any.
Furthermore, I've since learned that Henry's photocopies of slabbed chips in his exhibit MAY have been "doctored". The chips illustrated in the photocopies that Henry presented, did not appear to be graded by a 3rd party grading/slabbing company ... but appeared to be b/w photocopies of chips that MAY have been pasted over existing slab holders prior to the photocopies being made. Perhaps Henry can speak to that issue.
Hope I've answered your question ... and have raised additional ones.
