I did mention that I have no problem with people collecting these "other than originals". I have some Borlands myself. But the vast majority of folks in this hobby will tell you, IF they try to sell you one of these that they are in fact not in the original state, fakes, reproductions or anything else.
It is the GREEDY, NO CLASS BAST%#@S that KNOW they are not originals but for $$$$ will screw someone over by leading the buyer to think they are real or out and out telling them they are, while the whole time knowing different!
It is the fraud that hacks me off, not Gene Trimble who collects these pieces knowing what they are and is happy to share that knowledge with the rest of us. I wonder who completes the Borland set first, Gene or Don?
Sorry to rant Larry, but this whole situation just burns me to no end! At least I get to go home and pack for Vegas now. That will make me feel much better.
