And I know that my version of the virus, that I sent myself, (not really) was sent by a Prodigy user who is infected, a member of the antiques and collecting community and doesn't know that he/she is sending this out to everyone.
I also got a return from pitech, the help ID and abuse@prodigy.net the problem reporting ID. A whole stack of prodigy IDs.
Yes, someone who has Bob's address and whoever it got sent to, is the source of the virus.
By the way, one of the versions of this virus says it's software to remove and protect your computer forever, from the virus. It instruct the person to hit ignore when the virus software says it's infected, and tells them to install the "protection". In reality it's installing the virus, a hidden double extension file, a SMTP mailer that spoofs ID and, may even have sections that scramble data at a later date.
Don't install an emailed virus protection. It IS the virus!
