Some of these viruses lift email addresses off of websites that a person's infected computer visits, then sends itself from the infected computer cloaked as being sent from a different email sender than the actual infected sender.
All of my machines are clean, the infected email you received was not generated by one of my machines.
I use Norton, so I'm not familiar with McAfee software, but Norton will quarantine infected email, and if you click on the email after it has been quarantined, open the email header and you'll find that the real sender isn't who your computer thought it was.
Buy and use anti-virus software. Update it regularly. You won't regret it! I use these machines to make an ever increasing portion of my income with online communications, and believe me, I will not be unprotected from this vile garbage.
