Alex, This is the question of the century!!! There is no way to stop the spam once it starts. A Network mail server has a chance to block known spam address' through content filtering, but for the most part, once someone AOL's you by forwarding a three foot long address list to get money from (here you can take your pick) Bill Gates, Aol, Intel, the easter bunny, Santa Claus, and then the one address it goes to that pulls that address list and sells it, you are finished. Hotmail has about the best "anti-Spam" I have seen. All the rest, you still have to delete the emails you set rules for. As far as "unsubscribing" as Larry says, it normally adds your address to another list and tells them you are a real address as well.
Grin and bear it. Two email address is a pain. I try to tell people to send the jokes and chain letters to a hotmail account. Really pain's I say I am changing address's and give them the new hotmail, yahoo or other account as my main address and say the other is gone. Maybe when they pass that email bill and start charing for emails, they'll stop spamming!!
