... it's one I've raised and I don't have an answer to it.

Like most other chip releases in town ... and in A.C. as well... many new chips are completely sold out on the day they are released. With a one or two chip per person limit ... I guess they might last more than one (or maybe two) days ... but beyond that is anybody's guess.
