When you go to the index, where all posts are, don't click on a post, just stay in the index. Scroll to the top of the page and there you have
Post New Message | Search | Set Preferences | View User Profiles | Create a Profile | Formatting

click on formatting and there you see how you can make the smiley's, bold, big, red text etc.
Have a look, next time we see you post we want to see the smiley's
